Jude is currently touring her new solo show JUDE SIMPSON, MAKING HAPPY - described as "a recession-busting, here's-one-I-made-earlier guide to cheerfulness."
Do you have to wait for happiness, or can you make it happen? Can you only be happy by being good? And if not, why are most happiness books written by monks?!
From a lament about the cliches of falling in love, to a song praising the humble spleen, this show has wide appeal, a strong feel-good factor and the ability to leave you with a suspicion that maybe, just maybe, everything's going to be OK...
See the What's On page for details of tour dates in Ipswich, Gloucestershire, Maidenhead, Luton, Letchworth, St Albans, Leeds, Salford, London and more... Read on for reviews and opinions:
"Jude Simpson should be a national treasure; her laconic, sultry style is a joy to behold and her skill with rhyme and timing exquisite. Simpson has a tongue-in-cheek way of engaging with her audience, which is an enviable enough skill in itself..." Read the whole review here: http://www.onesuffolk.co.uk/reviews/judesimpson.htm

Jude performed her new solo show, "Growing Up Games" at the Pleasance Courtyard at the 2007 Edinburgh Festival, and subsequently toured in 2007/08.
The show explored the joys and contradictions of attempting adulthood when you don't have a mortgage, a four-wheel-drive buggy or status as a genuine royal... It also features a love poem to Jose Mourinho and a song about how riding tricycles might just be the answer.....
Jude Simpson: Growing Up Games was selected for the 2007 programme of Escalator East to Edinburgh. Each year Escalator East to Edinburgh helps artists and arts organisations to raise their profile and perform to new audiences as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. For more information, see the website here. The show received support through Escalator from the Arts Council.
